Straw Bale Chicken Coop

This building is not a part of The Living Farm.

Lynn’s father, Glen Mentgen, lives in Paonia in close proximity to the Solar Energy International (SEI) complex. Two of the employees of SEI, Kathy Swartz and Kris Sutton, live across the street from Glen. Knowing Glen’s passion for organic gardening, conservation, photography, and his interest in straw bale construction, when SEI offered a workshop in Straw Bale Design and Construction, they invited him to attend and take lots of pictures to document it.

Below you will find Youtube links to a series of four slide shows, based on the contents of the SEI workshop.
