In order to attract the birds and keep them around, you will need to provide the wild birds with 4 things. 

1. Feed the birds: Most backyard birds eat a combination of seeds, berries and insects. But in early summer, birds are busy filling the mouths of their hatchlings, and baby birds with fresh caught bugs. By providing a mix of seeds, and suet the bug eating birds will want to hang around and see what other tasty morsels your yard has to offer.

3. Chemical free: The birds are sensitive to chemicals and your yard needs to be chemical free for our feathered friends to thrive and want to stay around.

You can put up a few bird houses and hang some bird nesting  material in your trees to encourage the wild birds to make nests in your yard. Here on the farm we are making bird balls with  wool nesting materials for the birds.  They are perfect for hanging in your trees so you can  watch the birds create beautiful nests with the wool.  Wool makes one of the best nesting materials for birds.  It is insulative to keep the eggs and babies safe from shifting temperatures. It is moisture wicking and will dry fast after a rain, it is antimicrobial and antibacterial to keep the nest cleaner.  

 You can hang your bird nest material  ball in your trees or on a fence or under the porch overhang. It is fine if the bird nesting ball gets wet, it will dry quickly. 

These  beautiful wool  bird nest material balls frames are made of grape or natural vines  from the farm and are all hand made here on our farm. They vary in size from 5 inches to 7 inches. They come with a 10 inch jute hang cord. The frames are filled with organic grown wool from our sheep flock.

 The wool comes in natural or dyed  colored wool for really fun nests.  Our  natural sheep  wool comes in black, brown and white.
